Location, access, atmosphere and cleanliness
- The shop sits on Waverley Road in Malvern East, with a rear entrance and car parking available off Warida Avenue.
- Street access at the front can be awkward during busy traffic, so some visitors prefer the rear entry.
- The interior has been fully renovated and feels modern, comfortable and upmarket.
- Rooms are clean, spacious and well maintained, with mood lighting and a private waiting area.
Facilities and amenities
- Six upstairs rooms each include a couch, reverse-cycle air conditioning, separate shower and full-size mirror.
- The shop provides heated oil, heated tissues and free soft drinks on arrival.
- Motion-sensored stairway lighting adds to the modern setup.
- Showers are available before or after the session, and some therapists will join for part of the shower.
Therapists
- The roster is mainly Chinese.
- Therapists are generally young, slim and attractive, with a mix of petite, athletic and curvy body types.
- Several work limited days or rotate between venues, so the available lineup can change.
- Personalities range from sweet and gentle to playful and confident, with some more open than others.
Service and massage quality
- The massage itself is generally relaxing but secondary to the extras, with quality varying from average to good.
- Body slide, cat bath and oral services are commonly offered, with enthusiasm and technique varying by therapist.
- Full service is available, though some therapists have limits.
- Comfort and hygiene are taken seriously, and protected full service is the standard.
Pricing and extras
- Relaxing massage is $60 for 30 minutes, $80 for 45 minutes and $90 for 60 minutes.
- Full service is $200, according to recent visitor reports.
- One reviewer reported being quoted $250 before negotiating down to $200, so confirming the price before starting is wise.
- The 60-minute rate is considered good value given the quality of the rooms and facilities.
Session flow and timing
- A short massage comes first, followed by the flip and a discussion of extras.
- Showers may be offered at the start, and therapists often begin the session undressed.
- Sessions are generally unhurried, with time for cleanup and a shower afterwards.
- A 45 or 60 minute booking gives more room for a relaxed session, particularly if opting for full service.
Overall customer experience
- Foen Spark Massage has quickly built a strong reputation for its premium rooms, friendly reception and reliable full-service offering.
- The main variable is the individual therapist, with differences in massage skill, extras and personal limits.
